Many dream of the American dream, a hazy far away dream bearing close semblance to the fading horizon. The Texas experience is a truly amazing dream comes true. The land of cowboys, ranches and the gunslingers, just like in the Western movies and novels. When many dreamers of the American experience watch the Westerns, the first impression is the ranches, cornfields, horses, guns on waist holsters, and the crimson yellow sunsets. The story and the feeling are so romantic that it plays in the mind like a Spanish guitar in the Cabana. Texas is great, a place to remember and to go back timelessly.

Texas is the second largest state in the US. It is a vast and diverse state associated with cows and cowboys. Dubbed the Lone Star State to designate the efforts of the Texans to free themselves from the Mexicans grips, Texas is a geological wonder. Across the vast terrain, I saw the lands that were once prairies, grasslands, and forests now replaced by part desert, part cities, and chunks of green farmlands. From east to west the coastline streamed with finest rest houses and hotels. Along the coastline strewn with lovely spots, ranges, and terrains of swamps and pine expanses Texas is beautiful.

Riding a horse on this warm Saturday mid morning, I was amazed at the beauty of the vast and rolling Texan plains, the far away rugged hills, the desert, and the far mountains of bend. Texas geological nature fascinated me to song. Balcones faults, diverse landscapes, and grasslands that still form the better part of the ancient Texan look crown the breathtaking beauty of this state. The cowboys are still here, the cows are still home, and horses are in numbers. The lie that Texas was a dream is misconstrued. The state is robust with many gifts of nature and my camera clicked endlessly taking the gist of every moment with such valor and passion.

In the bars, I enjoyed the Texan way. I sought places where tradition was rife, and I saw them play with bulls, wild and ready to mull, yet the sport was all like a Western. They tipped their hats to the lady, a tradition borrowed from the Mexicans who once ruled them. The horses gallop gracefully, the cows browse so beautifully that every move they make intensifies the Texan experience. As the time quickly pushes me on the wall, I enjoy the food, the Texan ways, and home I come, reminiscing, the Texan experience.
