I’ve never enjoyed a city as much as I did in New York. The Big Apple gives excitement for all senses and in all levels. I am an actress. Can you imagine my face when I saw all those people waiting patiently in a line just to buy a ticket for a Broadway show? I stared at them and for a moment I felt like a part of the teams in those marvelous theaters. I thought how beautiful it is to be an actress in New York, then I thought about my country but in the same moment I turned my head on the other side because nothing could ruin my mood. You don’t have time to think about home in the city that doesn’t sleep. I loved that. I dreamed about Times Square and the theater district, I was dying for Broadway. And here I am now; walking on the 5th Avenue without money to buy anything from the best fashion collections in the world but with an open spirit to experience this city of lights as much as is possible. I can’t pass Tiffany without thinking about Hepburn and her best known role in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”. I am starving so I buy a hot-dog and I am eating it in front of this big building. I don’t feel like a part of the movie, but now I kind of get the point of that scene. Hundreds of girls dream about something in New York while living some other lives. The good thing is that nothing looks impossible here. They say “if you didn’t have anything to do in New York it is your fault.” I agree. I feel free and I can go anywhere, I am breathing this New York air and it feels good. But, as I am an artist in my top 5 New York destinations will definitely be MOMA. The Museum of Modern Arts blesses my soul. I am melting from happiness and at first I don’t know should I start from the last or from the first flour. It may sound stupid, but you will understand if you love art. The chance to be in the same room with Picasso, Dali and Van Gogh is indescribable. I feel like they are alive, standing in front of me and explaining me all the secrets of their art. I am overjoyed when I see how many Picasso’s paintings MOMA has. Dali was as breathtaking as Picasso. He is my favorite and I consider him for a genius. I think that 5th floor took me an hour. I don’t want to leave. From the other floors I can separate the one with Andy Warhol. His artistic expression is so strong and contrary looks so simple. I can stay and think about all this paintings, sculptures, drawings and photography in MOMA forever. At the end I enter in the store and I buy some MOMA souvenirs for my artistic friends. I am satisfied. This MOMA feeling is not leaving you when you leave the building because you are surprised when you see the wall in front with the visitors’ notes zoomed and printed. I especially love this part. You can see drawings from kids saying that know their mums turn into Picasso and you can hardly stop smiling; lots of honest notes from honest visitors. I took same photos just to complete my MOMA collection. As I am taking my metro back to hotel I am listening to Liza Minnelli “…I want to be a part of it, New York, New York…” A big smile covers my face just because I am part of it.
